Cllr Tom Wootton

Cllr Tom Wootton is the Councillor for Wyboston Ward.  He represents the villages of; Bolnhurst; Keysoe; Colmworth; Duloe; Little Barford; Little Staughton; Roxton; Staploe; Wilden; Wyboston; Chawston, and; Colesden.  He was first elected in 2002 and was the cabinet member for Highways, Transport and Waste on the former Bedfordshire County Council. He currently sits on the Council's General Purposes Committee. He is also the Council's Speaker for the year 2016/17.

Tom lives in Ravensden where he manages the family’s farm, following a family farming tradition in Bedfordshire that stretches back hundreds of years.  He is proud to represent the rural areas of Wyboston Ward and has campaigned on issues such as the retention of the Roxton school bus.

He is married with 4 children who are all at school in Bedford.

Wyboston Cllr Tom Wootton has welcomed news that improvement works at the Black Cat roundabout are reaching their final stages, with completion hopefully at the end of March.

Roxton School Bus Campaign Ends in Success

Parents of pupils from Roxton who attend Alban Academy in Great Barford have won a temporary victory in their hard fought campaign to reinstate their school bus.
